Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0920230512, Hardcover)

This memoir represents the proceedings of the Pangea Conference, an international symposium held in Calgary in August of 1993. The sixty-four papers in the Memoir (which encompasses nearly 1,000 pages) have been divided into seven sections: Global, Regional Paleogeography and Tectonics, Paleoclimates, Resources, Sedimentation, Boundaries and Biostratigraphy. These sections reflect the themes of the working groups of Project Pangea. The papers are a good representation of the main topics of the conference and they illustrate the myriad of geographic, climactic and tectonic changes which characterized Pangea's complex evolution.
