Genre: Realistic Fiction
Critique: While there isn't a plot to the book, it is possible for a grandfather to write a song to their grandchild, and then sing it. This happens very often in everyday life, and is very realistic.
Characterization: The main character, the grandfather, is round because the story goes into many details about his feelings for his grandchild. This makes him very realistic, and helps the reader identify with him.
