I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for a honest review. I'm not going to lie, I was very skeptical about the book. Usually self published works aren't very good, and are riddled with typos, plot holes and characters no worth caring about. But this book surprised me and I was immediately drawn into the story of Aya, a supernatural woman living in Arcana and dealing with the strange events that begin to happen around her and her friends. The characters were well written and I liked Aya and the people in her life. The book overall was well written and the story flowed and I didn't notice any plot flaws. I was able to read this quickly and would've finished in one sitting if life didn't have a habit of getting in the way. If you're looking for an easy read that will suck you in from page one, I suggest you check this book and the rest of the series out. ( )

It was an interesting book and I loved the new take on mythology and the supernatural. Aya Harris was a unique character and I loved that she was a Harpy. Not many books are written about Harpies. The cast of characters was very diverse and not at all cliche. There were demons, nymphs, werewolves, and more and this made me want to read more. I wanted to continue learning about the unique histories of each character. ( )
