The Handbook is designed for the use of parliamentarians, as the latters are in an extraordinary position to create the political and legislative climate for the successful development and implementation of anti-trafficking initiatives even in cooperation among countries. parlamentarians allocate the resources for trafficking prevention measures and can advocate for greater awareness. Internal trafficking must be tacken no less serioiusly than global trafficking. The protection of and assistance to victims through mechanisms of implementation and monitoring are paramount in any anti-trafficking strategy.
