A dynamic blends of colors and shapes grab your attention, but if that wasn't enough Jonah Winter takes on a very difficult subject of finding humanity in the process of creating bombs for use in war. I believe Winter's touch of quietness is what gives very complex subject the right touch for young readers, even though this is a picture book I would say this book is actually designed to capture a 4-5th grade student attention.

The Winters know how to take historic subjects and present them appropriately for kids in a compelling, relatable way. The wordless closing spreads are devastating.
