One of the rare books that deals with aliens so alien that the Federation might not be able to communicate with them, this book would have been very high on my list if Deanna's "sensuality" hadn't been described in such cringey terms. The author seems to be female, so I guess I can't say it's male gazey—it truly isn't, quite. But it is on the border, and it really did strike me as an odd depiction, and I don't know, I just wish TNG's gender politics were a little less old fashioned, yknow??? no reviews | add a review
