This is a beautiful cookbook filled with 115 on-point recipes for great meals and a better life by Oprah Winfrey, who is with Weight Watchers.

This is a beautiful book, but I doubt I'll make any of the recipes or if I do they'll be modified somewhat. Many have expensive ingredients and a lot have chiles. As a Weight Watchers Lifetime Member, I hope that Oprah reaches her goal and sticks with it. ( )

We have been a witness to Oprah's struggles with weight throughout the years but flash forward to 2017 - Oprah has finally made her peace with food. In this book she invites readers to do the same. So far she has lost 40 pounds on Weight Watchers and you can see the glow on her face when she speaks of her journey. Even though I try to support every Oprah venture - it took me a minute to pre-order this book. Not because I don't believe in Oprah - I'm just not a big fan of following recipes to a tee.

My big aha moment was I can still enjoy flavorful foods with the guilt of packing on the pounds. If you are a member of Weight Watcher - Oprah includes the value points for each meal.

This is more than a cookbook. In true Oprah fashion - she tells you about her journey and leaves you with gems and aha moments along the way.

(I tried Chef Art Smith's Unfried Chicken recipe and it was a hit in our house!!) ( )
