The author simply shows us that Space is infinite. Stine is an aerospace engineer and he lays out what that means for our Earth. We now have the technical ability to mine, farm, and manufacture in space. Indeed space's non-earthly qualities provide superior conditions for industrialization--zero gravity, low-pressure atmospheres, unlimited raw materials and energy, etc.

The first industrial revolution replaced the human body with machines. The second, replaced the thinking calculations with computer processes. The third industrial revolution is moving beyond this precious garden planet into the Solar system. ( )
