This book is a funny rhyming story about a little bug- girl whose was challenged a bully in skating. The illustrations were lively in making the text even more enjoyable. this book is great for poem structures and teaching about rhyming words. ( )

Louise is a smelly stinkbug who only has one friend. Kiki the roach is a bully. Louise faces her fears and stands up to Kiki in an ice skating contest. This is an excellent book to teach children about being comfortable about being different and facing bullies. Cute illustrations, too. ( )

Louise is a stinkbug who takes on her bully in a skating contest and defeats her. This book has a great idea behind it. It shows that someone can stand up to their bully using their strengths and overcome them. There does not have to be any violence involved. This story shows a stinkbug who has low confidence because she is different, but then she gets confidence because she puts herself out there. I would really like to read this book to my class when talking to them about being confident in themselves. ( )

Louise is a stink bug. She can't help the fact that she stinks, but because she stinks, no one likes her. After being bullied by a big nasty bug, she competes against her in an ice skating contest and wins. Since she beat the bully, everyone liked her and had a reason to forget about her stench. This book can show children that if people have an opinion of you because of something that you cannot change, then you can give them something else to remember you for. The rhyme scheme throughout the text makes it good book to read aloud and the illustrations are colorful and vivid. ( )

Louise is a stinkbug who is made fun of because she stinks. When a bully named Kiki terrorizes Louise, she decides to stand up and challenge Kiki to a skating contest. This is a great read aloud for children K-3 to teach about bullying. The illustrations are bright and colorful which catches the attention of younger readers. Geez Louise! is a great story because it shows children how they should treat others. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0399235825, Hardcover)

Louise is a stinkbug whose stench keeps most of the other bugs away. Not her best friend, Tara, though. And, unfortunately, not the biggest bully around-Kiki the cockroach. When Kiki threatens to flatten Louise if she dares to compete against her in the skating contest, Louise's confidence wavers. Luckily Tara is there to boost her back up. Louise wows the audience and Kiki's mean-spiritedness lands her on her rump.

Cheer for Louise as she wins much more than a contest with her courage and heart.
