This is a story about unrequited love, loss and guilt. Eve has a good life in the city, but she has had a loss and she feels a certain amount of guilt for her daughter's death. Gray lost his wife and although he loved her, he didn't love her the way she needed to be loved. He always felt more like her brother than her husband. He tried to make a good life for them but it just wasn't enough. When Eve comes into his life, Gray finally realizes what love is. Eve doesn't want to be a second in the relationship. She isn't sure how Gray feels about his dead wife because he doesn't talk about it. Neither of them can move forward until the truth comes out. Can they make a life together or will ghosts continue to haunt them? ( )

This is a terrific story about an author (Eve) who wants hands-on farming experience so she can include it in a book. After putting an ad in the paper explaining what she was looking for, she chooses a ranch but the owner, Grayson, doesn't want her there. He's not too happy that his daughter answered the ad, setting up the whole thing. He's very cold to Eve and expects her to leave once she gets a taste of ranch life. He's sure she won't like the smell and dirt but she surprises him and sticks with it. Not only does she stay, she volunteers to clean out the stalls and to do lots of other messy jobs.

This is an incredible story that pulls you right in. The smooth writing style makes it an easy read. You won't want to put it down. I really liked the characters. It's nice to have a story where the characters are a mature age. Grayson was a real grump in the beginning. But a sexy rancher, none the less. Eve showed what a strong, capable woman she was when she worked along side everyone else on the ranch. Being from the city didn't mean she wasn't a hard worker. I liked how the sparks flew between these two. And that neither wanted a relationship so they fought the attraction.

I was so glad when I won this book, giving me a chance to read another wonderful story by Nancy Glynn. If you like romantic suspense I recommend this book. This emotional story will have you laughing and crying. ( )

"I received an Advanced Read Copy of this book. I voluntarily reviewed this book and this is my honest review."

First of all I must say, I have read all three novels in Nancy Glynn's "A Town of Destiny" series and this is by far my absolute favorite. Nancy is an extremely talented writer and I have throughly enjoyed reading this entire series. It has made me laugh, smile and cry. When an author can elicit such a strong variety of emotions from me, the reader, they have not only shown their exceptional writing skills, they have also captured my heart.

I highly recommend this heartwarming romantic story about two broken souls who must face their demons in order to build a future. Anyone who enjoys romance novels that have characters who are truly captivating will love this book. They will make you want to pack your bags immediately and move to Destiny, Illinois where the women are strong and the men are "Swoon-worthy".

I will be waiting with bated breath for Nancy to write the next Town of Destiny novel! ( )
