Loading... A Winter Night's Dreamby Andrew Matthews
I looked forward to reading this book. A story where a teacher of Shakespeare instructs his students to go and experience love coupled with things that go wrong in a Midsummer Night's Dream, should have been a sheer delight to read. Casey and Stew never really developed as characters, although I liked how their stories interlinked. It all seemed a little cliched and fairly thin as a read, although it was fairly well matched to the teen audience. Not abysmal, but I wouldn't read it again. Casey and Stew learn some valuable lessons when their English teacher recommends that they fall in love with somebody to better understand the works of Shakespeare--an experiment that goes awry. |
