This is a very boring and drab book about animals on a farm. From a pig to a goat to a horse to a duck, there are real pictures of animals on a farm on every page enclosed and framed in a nice white border. Each page also has text right next to the picture - explaining what is going on, or maybe the animals are talking to you - the reader. The cows are lucky enough to get two pictures - maybe because some are used for milk while the others are used to make a nice Porter House!
And then there is the collie. There is a picture of Lassie the dog at the end of the book to tell the reader that she helps look after the sheep. I guess, being a city guy, I don't have much interest in the farm - but who knows - maybe my kid will have a huge interest in farm life since he won't be exposed to it much at all! ( )
