Funny, modern fast romance

Trudy finds herself on a vacation that she didn't want to take. Her boss tells her she has to go on holiday and relax, or he will not consider making her a partner in the investigation firm. He even makes a list of things she has to do and then send pictures to him to prove she is having a good time! She meets Mason, who trades with her - she helps him, he helps her, they both win!

The rest of the story is punctuated with text messages which discuss the "game" between Trudy, Mason and Trudy's boss. Romance blossoms amid the fun and games as the unlikely pair work on their checklists to improve their job, only to improve and change their lives forever.

Happy ending, stand-alone book - great quick read. Looking forward to the next book in the series. ( )

Loved this one! So excited to go back to Laurel Heights. When she's forced to go on holiday and send proof that she is actually having fun Trudy Hawke is furious. That is until she meets Mason Miller. Both these characters are a little quirky and absolutely perfect for each other. This is a quick read and one I enjoyed very much. It can definitely be read as a standalone but if you are a fan of the Laurel Heights series it was great to hear about some of the characters from the prior books. I highly recommend this one. ( )
