Reread after many years.
Found it very enjoyable at the start but felt it dragged on a bit.
Couldn't get really excited about the exploration of the Southern continent and felt it didn't really build to any type of climax.
From memory this is the last of these characters in the books which is a bit of a shame. ( )

A little slow. Lots of unanswered questions (to be answered in other books). ( )

Lots of fun, haven't read a Pern book in ages. It's fantasy, once you skip the premise, but it's light fun fantasy. ( )

Jaxom was kind of obnoxious. ( )

By far my favorite of the Pern series, though I haven't read nearly all of them... ( )
