Luyken creates a heartwarming story about what you can become. Minimal words and art to showcase and embrace that with each mistake comes creativity and human growth. Students will be encouraged to embrace their mistakes and turn them into works of art!

This is a lovely book that explores the possibilities of a mistake. A mistake is not necessarily a setback, but rather a chance to explore, to experiment, to make something wonderful. ( )

An artist subtly guides the reader through the artistic process, and how mistakes can lead to good ideas, eventually broadening the focus from one character to an entire created/imagined world.
