Zoe is on the commuter train one evening when she happens across a photo in a classified ad, an ad listing a website known as FindTheOne.com. What is most surprising is that the photo is of herself, and she has no knowledge of how it got there or what it has to do with the website. A different woman's face appears in the ad each day, and soon Zoe realizes that several of these women have been recent victims of crime -- even of murder. After learning more about the website, she discovers that it's basically a tool to allow men to stalk women, esp. those who tend to follow a predictable routine day-to-day, and her initial worry turns into extreme paranoia. I've heard that this thriller is not as good as Mackintosh's debut, but I found it intriguing and was rapt until the end. I was torn between conflicting emotions, one minute thinking this was too implausible but then the next I was doubting myself, thinking maybe in today's society this isn't so unbelievable. I will admit I was wrong about the whodunnit and it took me by surprise. There were lots of red herrings in this one, making me second guess myself a lot. Overall I enjoyed this one. An excellent on-the-edge of your seat thriller. I really had no idea where this story was going as it became darker and more involved. Zoe sees her photo in the classifieds of a London newspaper and begins to investigate why. We meet Kelly who works for British Transport Police after an incident that almost got her dismissed when she was a detective. Together they look into the different women whose photographs are in these classified ads. We meet Zoe's family and her wealthy next door neighbours. An excellent read. no reviews | add a review

Only after a woman is murdered does Zoe realize that she had seen this woman's photo a few weeks prior for the same dating website advert. She enlists the help of DC Kelly Swift.
Told in three points of view - the stalker, DC Kelly Swift and Zoe - the story unfolds with the police investigation into the dating website which would post a woman's commute route as well as a description of the woman and someone would pay money to follow her and abduct her.
Overall, a good book and story but a bit unrealistic at times. Good twist at the end. ( )
