A fast paced new technology adventurous book that keeps the reader hooked on every page! Darin Gibby has definitely nailed it!

Addy is an engineer and a patent attorney, a person who can understand inventors from the inside. She feels for them, because she has the same dream as many of them, to invent the technology that will shake the energy technology ground for good. This is one aspect that makes her great at the job and also contributed in the board’s decision to make her partner at such an early time. Along with her new duties and responsibilities, comes a convention trip to Asia where she meets an inventor, Quinn, who wants her to represent his company in the US Patent Office. Addy is too overwhelmed to reject an opportunity to have her own law firm and work on a division she mostly adores. The moment she meets Quinn is when her new adventurous life begins!

The main character, Addy, is a strong woman that respects the environment and is such a dreamer that wants to promote the idea of hydrogen fuel cells. This is not a new concept in the scientific community. However, what makes it interesting is that there is a new idea in the store, other than cold fusion! And that is the nice plot to get the whole project started.

Not only the book will attract scientist and gasoline usage opposers, but it will give them an suspenseful story to attach! There is the dilemma of the young professional – Should I settle in my career accomplishment as the youngest partner in a law firm or should I leave it all behind and chase after my dream? It is a risk Addy needs to take even if she cannot know if it is for better or worse. It is a real life case and it is written really beautifully! ( )

This is the first book I have read by author, Darin Gibby. I liked this book a lot. The innovation aspect of the project that WTG came up with was intriguing. A car that can run on water. It really is not that far-fetched as you might think. If no one has come up with the idea yet, I am sure someone will soon. What with people trying to think about being more eco-friendly.

To be honest, I have never really given it much thought into the process that companies have to go through to get new technology certified. For example, going through the Patent Office. Yes, I am familiar with patents but again. I never really thought about the process or even the fact that there is a profession as patent attorneys. This does make sense. Thus the reason that Addy is valuable. In addition, to the fact that she was so passionate about the project. Yet, for as smart as she was, I am a little shocked that she did not question Quinn more or even suspect that something seemed foul about the project. The way she interacted with her former boss, Perry, I felt she was harsh with him. He was her friend and he was looking out for her best interest. The tension was not super high in the story. However, it was more about the characters than the tension. An overall, well-written, smart read. ( )
