I love this sweet little book about trying to find what was lost, but also trying to find replacements. Losing something isn't easy, but try to find the good in the new solution. Kids will also have fun playing eye spy with the detailed pictures. ( )

The unnamed narrator of this book wakes up one morning to find her/his robot is missing an arm. They search high and low to no avail, and try to see if a number of other found objects might be a suitable replacement.

This picture book is slim on plot and not particularly exciting in terms of text (e.g., no rhymes, although there are repeated phrases). However, the papercut illustrations are quite lovely to behold. In an unusual twist, the illustrations themselves are all black, but the pages of the book are a variety of colors, allowing the silhouetted images to really "pop" on the page. ( )

Clever seek and find book featuring a robot who is missing an arm. Depicted in shadows and silhouettes, the book encourages young readers to consider alternative arm, some very silly to inspire giggles, some more practical and may lend themselves to maker discussions. Fun twist on the always popular i spy books! ( )

This is a fun, silly book that my kids kept giggling at. They loved seeing what the next arm piece would be. ( )

A fun story with interesting paper cut illustrations. I thought this would be something along the lines of "Where's Waldo" where one has to search hard in the pictures to find the robot arm, but rather it is a sort of mystery as to where the arm has gone and what can be done if it isn't found. Very simple, but pleasing to look at. ( )
