Basato su una storia realmente accaduta : un Professore di Storia di un Liceo di Palo Alto , in California , negli anni '60 , allo scopo di dimostrare ai suoi allievi come fosse facile per il Nazismo fare leva sulla gente comune , coinvolse gli studenti in un pericoloso esperimento di "Fascismo" tra i banchi di scuola . Sullo stesso argomento , nel 2008 il Regista Tedesco Dennis Gansel realizza un lungometraggio dal titolo "L'onda" , riambientando perĂ² l'azione ai nostri giorni in un Liceo della Germania .
