Good read!! Bishop at last finds the one he's been looking for in the last 2 books ... yay!; and Bishop & Miranda make a great couple.

The case itself was also good - very interesting, and creepy serial murders, a definite page turner.

So far I've enjoyed all of Hooper's books - looking forward to the next one. ( )

It begins with the disappearence of three teenagers in a small town in Tenessee. Hooper soon introduces us to Miranda Bishop, the sheriff, with a mysterious past, and the dark mystery man FBI agent, Noah Bishop. As these characters interact sparks begin to fly and you are caught up in a great mystery with the added dazzle of pyschic abilities. Kay Hooper writes about the paranormal in such a way to make it all believable. She doesn't go overboard with it. I highly recommend this whole series. It would be a good idea to read them in order to get the full effect. ( )

This is the 3rd book in the Bishop series. It was the first opportunity to meet Miranda who is the Sheriff of the town of Gladstone. After three teenagers are tortured and murdered, she calls in Noah Bishop, FBI Profiler and head of the Special Crimes Unit (SCU). As the two teams, the county sheriff's department and the FBI unit, work together to find the psychotic killer, we learn about Miranda and Noah's troubled history. I enjoyed both the story of finding the killer and the story of Miranda and Noah and how the past and present intertwine. The use of psychic abilities in the story did not overwhelm the plot, but added an interesting element. I am definitely going to read another one of the Bishop trilogies. ( )

Now she has no choice but to call in the FBI. The bureau assigns profiler Noah Bishop and his Special Crimes Unit to the case. Bishop and Knight have a history going back eight years that also involves Knights younger sister Bonnie. Will Bishop and Knight be able to find this killer before he strikes again. Another page turner from Kay Hooper. ( )

3rd of 3. This story plays out like a really good game of chess (you can't missed the less than subtle references). Delves deeper into the emotional side of the characters. Readers FINALLY get Noah's story. Not as gripping in suspense, but touches the heart. ( )

Out Of The Shadows

A picture-perfect Tennessee town has just become a monster's hunting ground. Two bodies are found tortured to death. A third person goes missing. What little evidence is left behind defies all explanation. Is the terror just beginning? Or have the good citizens of Gladstone harbored a dark secret for a long time? Sheriff Miranda Knight is determined to make her small town safe once more. And she does what she swore she would never do: involve FBI profiler Noah Bishop. He's the one man who knows about her unique abilities, and that knowledge almost destroyed her and her sister years ago. Now, as Bishop arrives with his team of agents, Miranda must learn to trust him and use her abilities once more. For they're about to go on the hunt for a killer whose madness has no bounds, a killer who knows exactly how to destroy Miranda: by preying on her sister.
