Es la historia de unos hermanos gemelos que quedan al cuidado de Nona Strega porque habian hecho una travesura en el super y ya no se les era permitido ir .La nona solo con sus cuentos pudo tranquilizarlos.

When Signora Clara drops her troublesome twins at Strega Nona's for some babysitting, that 'grandmother witch's' two assistants, Big Anthony and Bambolona, find them difficult to keep up with. Fortunately, Strega Nona herself knows just the right kind of magic to use with them...

One of two early readers devoted to the doings of this kindly witch - the other is Strega Nona and Her Tomatoes - Strega Nona and the Twins pairs a fairly engaging story with author/illustrator Tomie dePaola's delightful artwork. I particularly liked the idea that Strega Nona's 'magic potion' and 'spell book' turned out to be milk and honey and a storybook, as this emphasizes the enchantment to be found in everyday things. That said, I did think some of the words used here were too complicated for a Level One reader. Perhaps an adult, whether parent or teacher, could help with that? Recommended to beginning readers who are Strega Nona fans, or who enjoy fun stories about mischievous kids. ( )
