He doesn’t do quite so well handling his involvement with now Lieutenant Colonel Sara Brannon. He also inherits several sections of land from his old friend Erma Ferguson, which leads to more problems than benefits. Review: Once again, McGarrity has provided an excellent story and the ending is slightly unexpected. Kevin Kearney as the deputy chief of the New Mexico State Police unexpectedly inherits land outside of Las Vegas, NM. Finally taking some time-off to ride the property he finds a lost dog and the remains of a body. In the meantime, Col. Sara Brannon drops by to reignite some flames while Kearney juggles Sara and inheritance tax issues as bodies and crimes pile-up during the investigations. A well-paced mystery that leaves entertained with the story, but also wanting to know what the characters will be doing in the next book. no reviews | add a review
