Includes a short biographical synopsis for each of the following composers: Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Verdi, Schumann, Foster, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Gilbert & Sullivan, Joplin, Ives, Stravinsky, Boulanger, Prokofiev, Gershwin and Guthry. Colorful illustrations, reasonable brevity without sacrificing important facts, and interesting tidbits make this book useful for our purposes- homeschooling elementary-age children.

Once again, these stories immediately engage the reader drawing them into a deeper curiosity about the subjects. Even a studied musicians, like me, could learn some interesting new tidbits of information about some of these musicians. ( )
