I've read Tell No One some time ago but didn't like it much. Recently, I've read The Woods and it struck me that this is basically the same story with minor changes. It's all about someone disappearing in the past and resurfacing years later which causes some big conspiracy to break and a few ... Interesting, all of you, and interesting that there's not one Harlan Coben - not a particular fan myself but he's supposed to be highly rated. There is so many but here's a few suggestions: Dennis Lehane, Harlan Coben, Robert Crais and good old stuff, Lawrence Block, who has several very good series's. 8. The Innocent by Harlan Coben.
Starting Shutter Island by Lehane. Just finished Harlan Coben's The Innocent and am starting Shutter Island by Lehane. The Innocent was okay, but I am still left unsatisfied. I'm not sure what is next - I think maybe the new Myron Bolitar by Harlan Coben (can't remember the title off hand). Tell No One by Harlan Coben - wonderfully exciting thriller ... especialy the ones with the Hunsenmeir sisters Wheezie and Juts (Six of One,Bingo,Loose Lips).
I still love Harlan Coben, Myron Bolitar and non-Myron.

So to reward myself for reading something I'm not particularly enjoying, I read The Woods by Harlan Coben. I like his Myron Bolitar series better.
This one zoomed around a lot but actually did resolve nicely at the end. Who did what when to ... ... slow going. I love baseball but don't particularly like the style of this one so far. BTW, I just read Coben's new book Hold Tight last week... it was very good, and has some repeat characters from The Woods. Oooh! karenmarie, I love The Woods! It was my first Harlan Coben book, and has a special place in my heart because it was the book that made me realize contemporary fiction can be good. If it hadn't been for The Woods, I wouldn't be here. :-D ... just not as fast as me... She's the reason I've stop only reading classical literature. About six months ago, she gave me The Woods by Harlan Coben and I was hooked. Now, I'm making up for lost time and her TBR piling is growing fast, too!

9 - The Bride Wore Chocolate - ... The Woods was my first Coben book, and I loved it. I'd heard of the Myron Bolitar books, but had never tried any. I started on them, and love them, too, but they're quite different from woods. I'm looking forward to this new book, I've got a hold on it at the library, and am anxiously waiting ... ... a while.
BUT... because I just love my fellow BM'ers, I always list the heavy wishlisted books, like Duma Key, Coben's The Woods, and others, on BookMooch. Because the point is not instant on PBS, and because I can just buy credits at PBS, AND because, like wisewoman said, PBS has ... I read The Woods by Harlan Coben, and had to read more. I just finished No Second Chance and picked up Just One Look at a used book store.
I recently read The Store by Bentley Little, and want to read more from him, as well. A friend recommended The Resort to me, so that's on my ... Finished No Second Chance, and it was good. I think I liked Coban's The Woods better. In NSC, the twists and turns of looking for his lost child and figuring out who shot who was captivating.
I've already started Middlesex, which I am really liking. I enjoy Eugenides's style of writing. ... ... I just finished The Store by Bentley Little, which was a creeped-out scary book. Also, I'm finding I really like reading Harlan Coben. Finished The Woods. It really rocked! It was compelling and spellbinding. I kept turning the info over in my head, trying to figure it out, but it kept me guessing. Harlan Coben is an awesome writer who is easy to read. He doesn't waste words, and he's funny.
Next book: The Store ... Finished Annie Freeman, still in The Prince, and starting Harlan Coben's The Woods. The Prince is slow going because I am studying it, not just reading it. I started The Woods because a friend loaned it to me before Christmas, and I want to get it back to her. I'm loaning her Annie Fre ... ... just another 10 days or so more to go......I can hold on, I'm strong!
I've read lots of good things here on LT abut the Woods as well. But I have to get my Win Fix first.

#58 Touchstones are maddening these days. Why "The Woods" shows up as "A Walk in the Woods: rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail" by Bill Bryson, but when you click on "others" the correct book title is FIRST ON THE LIST is beyond me! ... 85. Bookmarque, I started reading The Woods in Borders several weeks ago while stranded waiting for a ride. I hoped to find a used copy, but haven't to date. Coben certainly can grab you in those first few ... Finished Harry Potter last week. Now reading Harlan Coben's The Woods. I just finished The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It moved me to tears, not many books do that. I am now reading the The Woods by Harlan Coben.
I was stuck at Borders last night, waiting for a ride home. I read the first couple of hundred pages of The Woods.
