Her books actually have had a huge impact on me, and have given my family the skills to live in a way that we "shouldn't" be able to afford. Thanks, Amy. You are a huge inspiration to me. ( )This book reprints her newsletters containing tips and tricks for saving money, living below one's means, lessening environmental impact and leading a simpler life. The focus tends to be on the economic side, which frequently helps with lowering environmental impact. Since this resonated with my values, I found it somewhat useful (if slightly out-dated), especially in terms of re-evaluating my lifestyle and examining areas of waste. I probably won't ever live as frugally as her (and wouldn't want to) but there are good hints to take or leave here. This book is actually a compilation of her monthly newsletters. I purchased the first book and liked it so well that I subscribed to her newsletters which have since been discontinued. There are two outher books in the series. I highly recommend reading Amy's books for any one wanting to live a more frugal lifestyle. no reviews | add a review
