This is the second time I've read this book - I bought it a few years ago. I liked it then, and I like it now, but, even though Connie is fourteen, it seems like a book for younger people, which is probably why I liked it better when I was 10-ish.
Connie's real name is Constance de Bellechasse, but everyone calls her Connie Pickles. She lives with her beautiful French mother, Bernadette, and her half-siblings; Cyril and Marie.
