She moves to LA with her dad and commits to doing whatever she wants. She meets Ben on the plane to LA and they get together. He invites her to a weddinghe's going to later that night. Things are going well, except fot the three other girls that are dying to get Ben. All is fair in love and war in 90210. This was a good trashy novel. If your looking for something fun to read, this is it. It's a real page turner. New York teen visits her father in Beverly Hills and meets the kids of the rich and famous. Part of a series I read this book a while ago, but I thought it was good. I enjoyed Anna and her quest to have a different life, where she was crazy and wanting to fit in at the same time. I thought she was kinda stupid, to hook up wit Ben. I really didn't like him form the start. Also although I thought it was brave of her to try to revamp her image, i did not understand why she felt the need to do this. I think this book was well written, and that it is a good book for teenagers, particularly girl who don't like to read. I thought the writing was good and overall I liked it. Anna, a member of elite Manhattan society, is moving across the country to live with her father in L.A. Usually reserved and well-mannered, Anna resolves to start her life on the West Coast anew as an outgoing, fun-loving person who takes chances in life. Although things start out great as she uncharacteristically hooks up with a good-looking guy on the plane ride over, soon she is caught up in a group of superficial, Hollywood “bad girls “ (each with a secret crush on her new guy). Anna goes through a whirlwind few days as she settles herself into a new life and learns about who she really is. This book has many of the characteristics of other popular high-society teen novels (i.e. Gossip Girls), including the nasty comments, the backstabbing, and the reckless behavior, but the main character remains more grounded. The story moves at a rapid pace from a variety of points of view and will continually surprise. Teens who enjoy descriptions of high society gone wrong will love this book. no reviews | add a review

If you manage to get into The A-List, at 256 pages, it turns into a very fast fun read. The plot is somewhat unique, and the characters are somewhat cliche. You have Anna who is the typical good girl, tired of her good girl life, so she sets off for LA, which I’m guessing she expects won’t be so.. good girlish. And then you have Cammie who is the typical get-in-my-way-and-i’ll-eat you bad girl, Sam and Dee who are the slightly ditsy following of Cammie, who are also ‘bad girls’ BUT with a conscious. Then of course, you can’t have a bad-ass chick book without something to fight over, which is where Ben comes in: The very typical good guy, who might be a bad boy, but he’s just really the misunderstood boy.
There isn’t really much you can say about The A-List without giving too much away, but if you liked The O.C, Gossip Girl or just Catty girl fights, then chances are you’ll love this book. And even if you didn’t like those shows (I certainly didn’t), then you might just like it anyway! (
