Victoria Lord is an uptight, rule abiding, prosectution attorney until she gets fired from her job because Steve Solomon beats her in court. Steve Solomon is a rule breaking, take it as it comes defense attorney with a heart. These two clash as they team up for two trials; one a murder trial and the other a child custody that involves Solomon and his nephew.
A fun and very witty novel. I had picked this up previously and couldn't get into it, for the life of me I can't figure out why. The heat between Solomon and Lord practically leaps off the page. Levine also has made both characters charmingly human. A great read that I highly recommend.
