I'd give this book 10 stars if it were possible.

This will be one of the top thrillers of 2018. From character, conflict, plot and suspense, it has all the necessary ingredients of a blockbuster. I'd characterize it as a steak well done. Something to sink your teeth into. ( )

Aaron Bergman embarks on a simple mission, to determine whether an Israeli Diamond Exchange merchant is involved in a potentially embarrassing scheme. As he was acting as a contractor, Israel had plausible deniability. But Aaron disappears.

In Tel Aviv, Pike Logan is on the track of an American arms dealer suspected of attempting to sell sensitive nuclear weapons triggers. When Pike and his team foil an attempt to kill Aaron’s partner, Shoshana, they tumble into a conspiracy to topple a democratic African country. As they slowly unravel the tangled web extending through the both the American and Israeli intelligence communities, Pike finds himself faced with choosing between his Taskforce mission and his Israeli friends. And Shoshanna is determined to find Aaron, no matter what the cost.

Pike Logan’s latest adventure offers readers all the thrills and pulse-pounding action they have come to expect from a Taskforce tale. With well-drawn characters, a strong sense of place, and a gripping plot, readers will find much to appreciate in this twelfth Pike Logan tale.

Book description
Haiku summary

No descriptions found.

"It was to be a simple mission. Nothing more than assessing whether a merchant in the fabled Israeli Diamond Exchange was involved in a scheme that could potentially embarrass the state of Israel. But nothing is ever simple in the world of intelligence, as Aaron Bergman--a former leader of an elite direct action team under the Mossad--should have known. Executing the operation as a contractor, a cutout that gave the State of Israel plausible deniability, he disappears without a trace. Pike Logan and his team know none of this, but he's tracking an American arms dealer in Tel Aviv who may--or may not--be attempting to sell sensitive nuclear weapons components to the highest bidder. When Pike's team breaks up an attempt at killing Shoshana, Aaron's partner, they stumble upon much more than they expected--a concerted conspiracy to topple a democratic African country..."--… (more)
