Work detailsLed Zeppelin IV (Rock of Ages) by Barney Hoskyns
None. A very short work which captures the Led Zeppelin career in the form of their their fourth studio album which is considered their creative high water-mark. No photos, but an excellent bibliography and fast paced chapters. Contains criticisms and fair praise from many sources. I found this book to be an excellent survey of the band and their attempt to make a distinctive impression in popular and critical studio recordings as well as polished stadium performances. Jimmy Page was in Los Angeles during a Southern California earthquake. Book's construction is well done. ( )no reviews | add a review
