I love this book, I love the way it captures the voice (voice? not exactly...close enough) of a very unusual, unique woman in some very strange situations.
The Morganville Vampire series by Rachel Caine
13. *Glass ... ... book that I really loved. I also liked The Pinhoe Egg a lot, but I just could not put Conrad's Fate down.
The Sagan Diary by John Scalzi
From the Old Man's War world, a beautiful book that makes me laugh out loud through one chapter and cry through the next.
Worst:

Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld was my favorite book for the month (the very first one, how about that), although I love The Sagan Diary by John Scalzi (first time reading the text, though I'd listened to the audio version before) and also really enjoyed Smoke and Ashes by Tanya Huff ... ... I also enjoyed the story, and the characters. Leah was a well-written character and Tony really came into his own.

And YES, Glasshouse (the best Stross ever, the best novel this decade) is much better than The Prefect, but Glasshouse was ... I'm reading Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede and I also found my hard copy of The Sagan Diary by John Scalzi (I only listened to the audio version before) and I'm learning the difference between listening and reading. You can get the flow and feel of the text when listening to ... ... they're all great.
And if you like them, there is also a novelette that goes between the second and third books called The Sagan Diary. I don't think you can buy it - pretty sure it was limited edition - but an audio version is available free ... my first quarter list before doing this one, interestingly.
