Evanovich continues to dish out hilarity in this second Stephanie Plum novel. I love that Stephanie still makes mistakes but goes with them and usually turns them to her advantage. Grandma Mazur gets more screen time in this book and I couldn't have been happier. She. Is. A. Hoot. Why is it that her scenes involving guns always leave me in stitches?!I think I'm going to burn through this series rather quickly... ( )

This is the second book in the Stephanie Plum series, and it's kind of funny and kind of clever, but not enough of either to convince me to read the rest of the series. ( )

Again - fabulous! Laugh-out-loud funny, Stephanie Plum must use her wit and humor to solve another mystery and bounty hunt. This time her target is a psychotic gun runner and his partners, keep her Grandma Mazur safe, and ward off the wiles of cop Joe Morelli. Mystery, mayhem and a lot of fun. ( )

Stephanie Plum

Two for the Dough

Book description
Stephanie Plum is trying to ease into her new job with a level head. It appears Joe Morelli is around for good - and bad - and she's resigned to it. Her loose professional relationship with Ranger ends in a platonic night together with no strings attached, and her new set of wheels, a secondhand Jeep Wrangler, suits her needs. Until it is stolen out from under her. How is she supposed to nab Kenny Mancuso, her new bail jumper and a distant relative of Morelli's?

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0312948964, Mass Market Paperback)

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is still learning the ropes at her cousin Vinnie’s bail bond office, so when she sets out on the trail of Kenny Mancuso—a suspiciously wealthy, working class Trenton boy who has just shot his best friend—the stakes are higher than ever. That Mancuso is distantly related to vice cop Joe Morelli—who is trying to beat Stephanie to the punch—only makes the hunt more thrilling….

Taking pointers from her bounty hunter pal, Ranger, and using her pistol-packing Granda Mazur as a decoy, Stephanie is soon closing in on her mark. But Morelli and his libido are worthy foes. And a more sinister kind of enemy has made his first move…and his next move might be Stephanie’s last.
