This is an old edition, but is still very good for elementary students of English as a second or foreign language. General introductions, meeting people, day-to-day situations are clearly explained and allow students to progress steadily. Lessons are clearly explained, no fuss, and grammatical points are not overwhelming. The learning is done by means of simple exercises and tests, audio bits and dialogues. I would recommend it to anyone learning English for the first time, or as a refresher if English was dropped many years/decades ago. I have used this Headway method with French adult learners and they picked up confidence quickly without too many difficulties. Highly recommended. ( ) no reviews | add a review
