Consistently, great artwork. Consistently, a fantastic plot. This volume was half fun and half deadly serious. I love the new interaction between Guts and Casca. Multiple laugh out loud moments and silly happy grin moments. However this volume also begins to show the connections of demons in the world. If you’ve read the series before you will see some familiar demons starting to roam the world. I must have missed it the last time I read this series, or it didn’t make as much of an impact because it took me by surprise. Anyways this series is becoming epic. Beware explicit sex scenes and much blood and gore but receive the story you won’t likely forget. ( )
