The Classical World: An Epic History of Greece and Rome - also already started, but barely ... it has been mentioned yet, although I may have missed it. Also its sequel, Claudius the God. It is based on Suetonius, The Twelve Caesars, which my father (a tremendous historical fiction fan) says is very readable, sort of like reading the National Enquirer's version of Roman history.
