The abrupt change from dislike to love in this book seemed very unrealistic to me. However, I did enjoy the book. It was a quick read, easy to follow, and of course had a happy ending. ( )

Builder Gideon Lowe clashes with interior designer Christine Gillette at the start, with a few sexist phrases, but from then on, he pursues her, using his charm to win her over. To ease his loneliness, he happily spends time with her large family and friends, one evening, and discovers that Chris has a teenage daughter,Jill, whose father she has never seen.
When Jill decides she would like to see her father for the first time, Gideon helps Chris to overcome her fears of change for their future together as a family. ( )

Book description
He wanted it his way.
Gideon Lowe was more than some macho construction worker, and the Crosslyn Rise building contract would prove it. The last thing he needed was Christine Gillette tromping onto his work site, disturbing his men--and his equilibrium. Christine was appalled. She couldn't believe that roughhewn--but frankly gorgeous--laborer was the Gideon Lowe, an investor in The Rise... and the man who held the deciding vote on whether or not her interior designs would be used on the project. But investor or no, she wasn't going to let any he-man bully her around. Or sweet-talk her into submission...
