Callie Johnston and Simon Roxbury have the same goal: to ruin Noel Kinsey. Their plans are different; Simon wants to get all Kinsey's money by gambling while Callie wants to shoot him in the knee, but they decide to work together, or at least, Callie thinks she's working with Simon.
Simon is a good hero, a bit pompous despite his riotous household. Callie is immature because she's been allowed to run wild. Together, they change each other for the better.
The secondary characters are hilarious. This is a laugh-out-loud kind of book so don't read it in public. The dialogue is witty and all the characters are appealing in one way or another. I couldn't pick a favorite and I want them all to get their own books. Another lovely read from Ms. Michaels. ( )
