I would have been more inspired and impressed if the main character had done more for herself, rather than having everything fall into her lap. Pretty unrealistic. I found the characters likeable, though, and enjoy reading about The South, and especially Charleston and the islands. That's the reason I read Frank's books. ( )enjoyed this one! I really liked this story because she did what I would love to do, get a house by the ocean-own her own business-have good friends and family-romance. The ending seemed to go on forever though. 7/29/04 This book is about a divorced artist (abusive controlling husband got everything) who comes to Pawley's Island and becomes friends with an attorney and art gallery owner (and his adorable mother). She finds herself in an unexpected way that will make you stand up and clap. The details are lush and exquisite, but it is the lively people in the book that makes this a must read. This is not my favorite book by Ms Frank, but is still a pretty good book for light reading. She does the South Carolina Lowcountry proud with her descriptions. 0.069 seconds to build listing no reviews | add a review
