... Carolina Moon was done well, though I didn't like the actor they picked to play Cade. I was completely thrown off by Montana Sky - didn't like it one bit.
Has anyone ever seen Sanctuary? Mylifetime.com hosts all of Nora's movies except that one. ... of Nora Robert's books have been made into movies for TV:
Sanctuary
Blue Smoke
Angels Fall
Carolina Moon
Montana Sky ... in the Sky by Isaac Asimov
Islands in the Sky by Arthur C. Clarke
Orphans in the Sky by Robert Heinlein
Montana Sky by Nora Roberts
Seventh Heaven by Alice Hoffman Whoops! It's not Wyoming, it's Montana and the name of the book is Montana Sky.
marietherese, there's a scene in Montana Sky where the (citified) female half of one of the couples suggests the same idea to her lover (lawyer/rancher). He demurs for the reasons I mentioned above.
In other words, I have no practical experience with that situation, but I read a lot. ;) My 96 year old mother just finished reading Montana Sky and loved it. She said she stayed up too late several nights because she was so caught up in the story! It is one of my favorites too. ... likely pass me by - I always miss things... I've read all of them and they are some of my favourite Nora reads, especially Montana Sky and Northern Lights... But as with most things, there's no way the tv movie can really live up to the book. Oh, I totally forgot, Montana Sky was on German telly last week. I haven't read any of NR's books but I thought they must have let out a great deal, to fix it up in a, (I don't know exatly) 90 minute movie. Well it wasn't as bad as the Rosamunde Pilcher movies they are constantly showing, but ... ... liked Angels Fall and I have her new one on order (High Noon)at the library... soon, hopefully, soon! Have you read Montana Sky, Blue Smoke and Northern Lights - really liked those as well.
I'm currently taking a break from her In Death series for a lighthearted chicklit read by ... ... to their characters. Faith's change in character was very believable. Faith (Josie Davis) and Tess (Charlotte Ross) in Montana Sky were my two favorite characters of the four movies. I guess I like bad girls who turn good.
Richard Blue Smoke was really good! I was surprised, because I seriously disliked Angels Fall and didn't even bother watching Montana Sky. Unfortunately, I couldn't watch the end of Blue Smoke as I had to get to sleep (I get up at the ungodly hour of 5:45 a.m. and just couldn't stay awake that ... CC, I finally watched Montana Sky & I have to agree with you. I haven't watched Blue Smoke yet, but so far, I'm not that impressed. Carolina Moon is on tonight; not sure if I'll watch it or tape it. My husband is not much interested in these "romance book movies" LOL ;) Nora Roberts' Montana Sky is next up on Monday, 2/5. Rich will be pleased! :)
Here's the link to Lifetime: http://www.lifetimetv.com/movies/noraroberts/index.php ... is airing four of Nora Roberts' books that have been turned into movies starting January 29th. They are Angels Fall, Montana Sky, Carolina Moon and Blue Smoke. And they have John Corbett(yumm) in Montana Sky, Johnathon Schaech and Heather Locklear in Angels Fall, Oliver Hudson (yumm) ... I finished Montana Sky by Nora Roberts and it was one of the best books I think I've ever read. I loved it so much.
I started I'm In No Mood for Love by Rachel Gibson yesterday and will probably be finished with it either tonight or tomorrow.
Devonna I just finished Montana Sky by Nora Roberts. I thought it was excellent and I'll definitely reread it again sometime in the future.
Devonna
I've just finished an oldish Nora Roberts - Montana Sky, and just seen whilst browsing that it's currently in post-production with the yummy John Corbett starring in it... Would love to see this on the screen too, not sure it'll ever make it to the UK mind. Thoroughly enjoyable, gripping and ...
