Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay ... are a lot better, personally... especially after this last season of it. The whole Lyla thing just lost me. I've got Dearly Devoted Dexter on Mt. TBR to get to sometime next year.

Dearly Devoted Dexter, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, Dexter in the Dark... 66. Dearly Devoted Dexter I've finished Dearly Devoted Dexter. This now puts Made into a Movie/TV show and Young Adult both at 7 read. I think rather than race those to conclusion, I'll be looking for books in other categories to read for a bit - they could use the reads.
I've got some true crime that may be looking ... ... and I do have Volume 2 reserved through the library (it's an 8 volume series).
For June, I'm in the middle of reading Dearly Devoted Dexter, so I'll be starting out the month with a challenge book. I do have to immediately read a graphic before it's due, but then I'm going to promise ... I started Dearly Devoted Dexter last night...here's to seeing if it will count as a May book or not! :) ... they don't quite get - duh! :)
And because I think I can squeeze it in before the month turns, I'm going to start Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay. ... the cliff hanger as to who was Dexter's rival, but I'd still like to continue to read the rest of the books:

A Wrinkle in Time I got my Dexter books in the mail today :-D YaY! Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter from a fellow LTer and BMer :-D I have to read them fast, too, because there's a line forming for them. ;-)
I also got The Angel's Game from the Big Brown Sleigh today. ... Dexter in my TBR which, if you promise not to kill me, I could move up and post for you in a couple of weeks. I also have Dearly Devoted Dexter in that TBR which I could probably also move up. ... that have the same kind of interesting main characters the following books:
Jeff Lindsay's books (Dexter in the Dark, Dearly Devoted Dexter, &c. or Peter Watts' Starfish and Blindsight. Another book I enjoyed related to these themes: Fight Club.

Forgot - I also finished Dearly Devoted Dexter, the second in the series by Jeff Lindsay. Lots of fun and very creepy. I just finished Dearly Devoted Dexter which was lots of fun, next up for me is Something More. thanks, as will Dearly Devoted Dexter for you (I'll finish it before I turn in tonight) - lots of fun, though I had to visit Wikipedia to remind myself of the differences between the end of the first book and the end of the first season of the TV series.

Right now I'm reading Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat, Pray, Love, which is really good. It's witty and although some parts are sad, ... ... decision for me which to read first. I think it would depend on my mood ~ if I could use a few laughs with my horror, then Dearly Devoted Dexter. Not many chuckles to be had in In Cold Blood. ...

To make matters worse, besides my stack of to-be-reads, I still have In Cold Bloodor Dearly Devoted Dexter from my "REALLY want to-be-read"...siiiiigh.... #16 - Owlie, I too enjoyed Darkly Dreaming Dexter, and also his second Dearly Devoted Dexter. Who could imagine that a serial killer hero could be so compelling? Started and finished Dearly Devoted Dexter, which wasn't as good as the first book, and started Strange Trades, The Death and Life of Superman, A Meeting at Corvallis and Brimstone. I'm still not sure why, but I absolutely loved the Dexter serial killer books: Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter and am looking forward to the third (I HOPE he's writing another one). A serial killer protagonist who's one of the "good guys." What a concept! :) ... myster/thriller/horror/whatever is the Dexter series by Jeffrey Lindsay (Darkly Dreaming Dexter is the first one, and Dearly Devoted Dexter the second). They are about a serial killer who happens to be the hero on the side of the good guys. Really fun in a macabre kind of way.
