Stealth planes and Evil Oil Baron.

Your average megavillain rich megalomaniac wants to control an oil pipeline. This, being a military technothriller, means that the US types of course have to now go and blow the crap out of him. This is trickier than usual because he has a bomber that is very difficult to detect.

Of course, McLanahan and his crew of Dreamworks gadgeteers and support pilots have some tech tricks of their own, so shooting and blowing up does get to happen.
