Kelly Byden believed her mother was dead until she found out that she owned a horse ranch. Kelly decides to get to know her mother by staying with her at the ranch for a while. Durig the time she is there, she learns a lot about her family and herself. ( )

This story was okay but got into so many horse racing details that I started skimming. The plot was interesting but the amount of bad things happening was a bit too much and stretched belief. Kelsey learns her mother is alive and visits her mothers horse farm where she meets neighbor Gabe.

Good not great. Fairly typical contemporary romance. ( )

Kelsey Byden signed her divorce papers and learned her long-dead mother wasn't dead on the same day. Torn between pleasing the only family she's ever known and finding out more about the mother she never has, Kelsey takes the plunge. Her mother's Virginia horse farm proves surprisingly intriguing - as does her mother, and her mother's handsome neighbor. But sometimes the past has a way of coming back to haunt the present, and when a groom turns up dead and a horse drugged, suspicion mounts and why?

Roberts takes fewer liberties with the sport of kings than I expected. Hadn't read this one in a long time, but found it just as enjoyable as ever. ( )
