So, this used to be 4* for me because like for many other people, those politics and "love triangle" parts were very tedious to me. I don't think they are actually that boring, but the books just keep teasing you with all those mysteries and you just want to know more and progress to the part where "something actually happens".
Now that I already know where this is going, I can really appreciate what these parts did for Elend's and Vin's character and relationship growth. ( )

Five stars,Five stars,Five stars!

Typical of a middle book in a series, there were a couple of spots where I thought the book lagged a bit, but overall, Sanderson did a masterful job of worldbuilding. My emotions got dragged all over the room and I was mentally exhausted, but happy at the end of the book.

On to the final book in the series.

I give this book my highest recommendation. Sanderson does Epic Fantasy with the best of them. ( )

Vin's struggles with love and power inject the human element into Sanderson's engaging epic.

This entertaining read will especially please those who always wanted to know what happened after the good guys won.
