One of my very favorite quilt history books because it was written while many of the quiltmakers were still alive to be interviewed. Lovely photographs with the quilts in the context of their use, not just in a museum. You come away with a sense of what the quilts meant to their makers in terms of beauty in a harsh place. ( )Not a pattern book but a wonderful book full of beautiful quilts and history of Applachian quilters. no reviews | add a review
