When I met Dario Capece, I was a cocktail waitress and he was a Vegas kingpin. I should have run away but instead, I leaned closer. Then, the lies started to spread. Rumors filtered through the glitzy streets of Vegas. Someone watched us closely and a clock of death started to wind down... None of it stopped me from falling in love.… (more)

Sometimes I want to smack myself. This book having been on my TBR for months being one of them. Sweet holy hell. The suspense, anticipation, and chemistry had me sucked in from page one. This author knows how to write. The way she weaves words and sentences together was precise and mellifluous. Truly sublime.

Dario. Sweet lord. Someone needs to clone that man. STAT. He just moved up to BBF too ten status. Bel. I loved her guarded soul. I loved that instant spark they had together. It was like they were magnetic. They made me believe in kismet and love at first sight. They couldn't have stayed away even if they had wanted to do so.

I cannot wait for the conclusion. This ended on a whopper of a cliffhanger. ( )

Ummm yes, Bell and Dario are everything. I need the second book like now. This was my first book by this author, and boy I picked a doozy. This book was perfection. The pacing, the story, the characters, and side characters were amazing. I loved the slow burn this book had going on, but even though it's a slow burn, it's hotter than a firecracker on the 4th of July. Do yourself a favor read this book, it's amazing! ( )
