A Christmas Visitor- A Cape Light Novel by Thomas Kinkade and Catherine Spencer Cape Light, Maine, Each of the three are getting a visitor at Christmastime. Miranda finds a man in her orchard and he's unconscious. The EMT's tell her and her grandmother to keep him awake. They do bring him back to their house after getting checked out at the hospital. The local Cop is leery about him, they find no wallet or car. Molly is pregnant and at her age. She is a caterer and I love that she just sticks in different ingredients to perfect new items for her catering. She's got 3 teen girls. She has had to turn work down. The family Christmas eve party is at their house this year. Rev. Ben and the statue is a burden to him. It's drawing all kinds of crowds. Christmas brings more gifts then we can dream.. love this series. Like how each has their own visitor and love catching up with other townsfolk around the holidays. Kincade's paintings bring 'light' to everything... Thomas Kinkade & Katherine Spencer weave another book in the Cape Light series. This has become one of my favorite series. You feel like these people are family and you end up laughing, crying and celebrating with them. Throughout the Cape Light series you meet the people of the Town of Cape Light. Each book focuses on a few of the town people, but never leaves anyone out from the previous books. The books are family and faith oriented. In this book the town recaptures their Christmas spirit, each in their own way. I do recommend reading from book one through the series so you know who everyone is and the dynamics of how they connect. no reviews | add a review

Even if I wasn't already familiar with Cape Light and some of its townsfolk, I'm sure I could have followed this story just fine. As with other books in the series, I found this one to be an easy, interesting read without it merely being corny or fairy-like fluff.
Now, I'm not a fan of love triangles where one or more of the characters come off as wishy-washy or they spend much of the time feeling like the new romantic connection they're getting deeper into is wrong. I also grew weary of a drawn-out misunderstanding along with two characters feeling sorry for themselves quite a bit. And even with its good backstory, the statue storyline struck me as weird for the most part, as did an unrelated scene involving hypnosis.
Yet, the read was like a warm, comfortable blanket for me overall, and it was quite nice to revisit this small town for another holiday season. ( )
