Apparently, this book can stand on it's own very well as I never felt I was missing important back story. I devoured the book in two hours, which is quite a feat around these parts. I just couldn't put it down. It was fast and easy and fantastic. Erin McCarthy took two of my very favorite topics, vampires and pregnancy and wove them into a very entertaining read. I can't wait to read the other books in the series. ( )This book was alright. The sex scenes were really sexy but the characters themselves as well as the storyline could have been better developed. I did not read the original book(s) in the series and I don't think that this one inspired me to read any of them. This is a funny, silly, easy to read book. I enjoyed it, though it wasn't as good as my favorite vampire-type books. It did leave some unanswered questions...how does the baby turn out? Maybe a future book will tell. no reviews | add a review
