As part of 1995's inquiry into public expenditure issues the Health Committee took written and oral evidence on the methods used to allocate resources to health authorities. The Committee considered the principles which underlie the current formula used to allocate resources in regional and district health authorities in England, the recent modifications to the formula, the manner and pace of the practical implementation of the modified formula, and its sensitivity to local circumstances. This report summarizes the evidence taken and reviews the current situation, focusing in particular on areas of continuing controversy. No library descriptions found. |
