A must for every cat lover. ( )This was a great read .... you could feel Norbet making his way into Peter's heart For the first few chapters, I couldn't help but think Gethers was an appallingly irresponsible kitten owner. Despite knowing little about cats, he claimed he just 'knew' that Norton was clever and wouldn't come to any harm, even when following him around the streets, or being taken to hotels or on planes. Despite this, it contained charming and amusing tales about Norton's escapades and his ability to win over even the most cat-phobic people. Kirkus Reviews: The humorous and touching memoirs of a man and his cat--a Scottish Fold named Norton who travels everywhere, especially deep into this reformed cat-hater's heart. When Gethers receives Norton as a present from a girlfriend, he's less than enthusiastic--but not for long. Though the girlfriend eventually goes by the wayside, Gethers and the cat fast become pals. Soon the highly personable puss is accompanying the not-quite-as-personable Gethers everywhere--to parties, Fire Island vacations, and business trips abroad --and making friends with everyone from flight attendants to hotel managers. no reviews | add a review
