If you think prosperity refers only to money and "things," then you won't get the real import of the title of this book. Gloria Copeland definitely believes you can't outgive God, but what else could Jesus have meant by, "Give and it shall be given to you..."?

I read this book 20 years ago and realized my grandparents had taught me its basic premise nearly 60 years ago! God does want the best for His children. (Problem is, we don't always know what that is!! I'll bet Joseph in that Egyptian prison didn't think that was "best." But he came to realize how truly good it was for him to have come in contact with the butler--and thus the Pharaoh!) Being a steward of what I have is a privilege and a blessing. That's what Gloria Copeland is trying to teach in this book. ( )
